Director Yana Titova is a Berlinale Talents alumna, graduated in acting from the Bulgarian National Film and Theater Academy. Her career took off quickly as she established herself as an award-winning talent. But the moment she found herself on the other side of the camera, her path shifted towards directing and she continued by earning a master’s degree. Yana’s acclaimed directorial debut, A Dose of Happiness (2019) topped the domestic box office and had its world premiere on HBO. Her second feature, DYAD, premiered at the IFF in Warsaw and won numerous awards, including the Just Film Grand Prix at the Black Nights Tallinn IFF and the Golden Rose for Best Bulgarian Film 2023.
