A STEFANO is a story: of suicide and of the unconscious. It is a lyric, an audiovisual poem created on the basis of a narrated text and archive materials from the ONF (Office National du Film, Canada). This film was born on the basis of a suffocated and resurfaced memory, which generated a sense of guilt, represented in audiovisual. The directing style is plagiarized by a complete freedom of personal expression, and influenced by the multitude of cultural contexts in which the film was conceived and produced. The narration is the soul of the film, which found in the images researched and edited in sequence, the springboard to communicate an intrinsic emotion through a universal language. And every element created, from sound to music to colors, is born from the stomach of this lived primordial emotion, offered to the viewer in all its bursting force.
