The 1506 Film association is pleased to present Mediterranea | Cinema and music between two worlds, a film festival dedicated to the meeting between the Neapolitan public and different cultures, through the works of authors and directors from the Mediterranean basin.

The Mediterranea | Cinema and music between two worlds festival is dedicated to the meeting between the Neapolitan public and different cultures. Created and directed by director Elisa Flaminia Inno, Mediterranea brings together authors, directors and musicians in Naples, along with stories of women who are close in geography and culture, but distant in existential condition. The directors of the films will be present in the room and protagonists of meetings and masterclasses open to the public.

It starts on Friday 8 December with Artists united for peace: at 7:00 pm, a short presentation is scheduled, followed at 7:30 pm by the screening of Yiddish, a documentary by Dutch director Pamela Sturhoofd who, together with Yiddish singer Shura Lipovsky, highlights the importance of music for peace between peoples.

Next: at 9:00 pm there is a Yiddish singing performance and at 9:30 pm the Concert for Peace with the Uhanema! Orchestra of Maestro Vincenzo Romano feat. Shura Lipovsky, in which Yiddish singing will mix with Mediterranean sounds.

The initiative is promoted and financed by the Municipality of Naples as part of the Altri Natali review, part of the Natale a Napoli 2023 project created with the funding of the Metropolitan City of Naples and the Municipality of Naples.
