Claire and Sophie studied together and are both lawyers. But their lives are turned upside down when the police find a newborn baby near their home that is believed to be Claire’s. Sophie builds her defense, even though Claire claims she neither saw nor heard that she was pregnant again, but how could she not have noticed?
Director Béatrice Pollet enrolled in the photography program at Louis Lumière in 1986, while simultaneously earning a Master’s degree in Cinema from the University of Paris VIII. Since 1988, she has worked as a screenwriter alongside directors such as René Allio, Philippe Lioret, Raùl Ruiz, Hiner Saleem, Jean Marboeuf, Jean Baronnet, Thierry Binisti and many others. In parallel, she has developed screenplays for short films, documentary projects and feature films. After completing three short fiction films, she directed her first feature film, “Le jour de la grenouille”, released in September 2012. In 2011, she began researching the phenomenon of pregnancy denial and writing “Without Proof” (2022), while simultaneously directing several films on the perinatal journey (documentaries, docudramas, video recordings).
